Here at The Fish Inn, we’ve created our very own list of activities and events to look forward to in our fantastic town on the Essex Sunshine Coast.
Celebrate Clacton’s 150th anniversary celebrations
This year, Clacton-on-Sea is celebrating its 150th anniversary which means there’s lots going on near The Fish Inn.
Our shop has been a central point in the town for many years and this special occasion is the perfect time to celebrate all that our town has achieved over the last century and a half.
The 150th anniversary event has brought a heritage trail complete with history boards, listening benches, challenges and more. There is also an official anniversary ferris wheel that is 30-meters high.
Kick off the 2021 Euros in Clacton
With the arrival of the 2021 Euros, where’s better to watch England take on Europe’s best this Summer than at a classic English tourist destination?
Clacton is home to plenty of places that will be playing the matches such as The Queens Arms pub where you can enjoy the football atmosphere with family and friends.
Explore the historic Clacton Pier

An oldie but a goldie, Clacton Pier is officially the largest pleasure pier in the UK covering a staggering 6 1/2 acres.
First opened in July 1871 as a landing stage for goods, it was the first construction in the “new” town of Clacton-on-Sea.
The pier now boasts a selection of new and refurbished family fun rides, Seaquarium Sea Life centre, 10 pin bowling, the boardwalk bar and much more.
The pier is always hosting events such as live music and on Saturday 24th July 2021, you can even experience a free fireworks extravaganza.
If you’re visiting Clacton this Summer, the historic pier should be at the top of your list.
Experience the great British holiday
As flying somewhere exotic is most likely off the cards this Summer, here at The Fish Inn, we’re all about reminiscing and championing the great British holiday.
We want to make this a Summer to remember, so keep your eyes peeled for some exciting things happening here at the Fish Inn, such as the launch of our own retro-style branded rock sweets.
Also, look out for our very own fun summer selfie board that will provide the perfect opportunity to take some great pictures with your loved ones.
What’s more, there may also be some new tasty menu items coming very soon!
